Kiran graduated from University of London with Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 1996. She then commenced her pupillage with Messrs Khana & Co and was called to the Malaysian Bar on 12th November, 1999.
She first practiced law with KS Tay & Rashid and was dealing mainly with banking litigation and other general litigation matter. She then joined Messrs Esther Ong & Co wherein she was exposed further to litigation matters and as well as conveyancing matters. In 2004, she then joined Messrs David Kok & Partners and thereafter Messrs H’ngHun Hong & Co in 2006 wherein she has attended to conveyancing matters and retail banking matters for all the banks in Malaysia. She is well-versed with all the conveyancing procedures including to the drafting of various kinds of Sale and Purchase transactions and developers' Sale and Purchase transactions including the matters related to perfection of transfer and charges upon the issuance of strata title.
In 2017 she joined Messrs Chung, Gan & Yap wherein she attended to all banking works for residential and commercial properties for conventional and Islamic loans and advising the financial institution on the drawdown of the loans. She also attended to refinancing of loans and debt consolidation loans approved by certain financial institutions and matters related to perfection of transfer and transmission of properties in respect of deceased estates.
